Expertise: Mr. Bartlett is a co-founder of Clear Creek Associates and, over the past 30+ years, has built a solid reputation as a hydrogeologist with diverse experience. Prior to forming Clear Creek Associates, Mr. Bartlett spent 22 years with Dames & Moore, a large, internationally renowned engineering firm. During this time, Mr. Bartlett worked on many projects throughout the U.S., ultimately specializing in flow and contaminant transport modeling. Mr. Bartlett also directed hydrogeologic and water resources projects and became Vice President in charge of Dames & Moore’s Arizona Geoscience Group with more than 40 geoscientists.
With a strong educational background in mining geology, Mr. Bartlett has considerable experience conducting hydrogeologic studies at mining sites throughout the western U.S. His mining projects have focused on both water supply and solving environmental problems for mining companies, particularly in challenging fractured rock aquifer terrains. Clear Creek Associates continues this strong relationship with the mining community in Arizona where Mr. Bartlett is currently overseeing numerous water resource and environmental projects at various Arizona mines.
Over the past 20+ years, Mr. Bartlett has developed many groundwater computer models that have been used to evaluate groundwater resources, assess the future impact of groundwater pumping, design groundwater recharge projects, trace the migration of contaminant plumes, and develop remedies to cleanup contaminated groundwater. Successful groundwater modeling relies extensively on the experience of the groundwater modeler. It also depends on the ability of the modeler to convey the results of the model in a clear, understandable, and technically defensible way. With so many of these projects completed successfully, Mr. Bartlett has developed a proven track record as an excellent groundwater modeler.
The success of both Clear Creek Associates and the Dames & Moore Geoscience Group are testaments to Mr. Bartlett’s skill as a manager and administrator One cannot have such a long career in consulting and not face the inevitable problems that can and do occur in such a dynamic field.
