Water Resources Management Services
brian

Local and state governments recognize the importance of properly managing water resources. Often agencies require the demonstration of a reliable water supply as part of a project’s review and permitting process.

Our approach to hydrogeological investigations involves very focused, practical, cost-effective analysis to resolve groundwater and water resources issues, whether related to project impact, regulatory concerns, water-rights issues, or water resources planning.

Our capabilities include everything from simple map analyses to comprehensive field investigations and groundwater modeling projects. By applying the appropriate analytical techniques to each project, our clients can make well-informed decisions.

Providing expert testimony on environmental and water-rights issues in litigation and arbitration proceedings is part of this service. Our principal hydrogeologists have extensive experience in a variety of legal settings.

Representative projects include:
• Farmers Investment Company, Tucson, Arizona: We completed a hydrogeological study to support the conversion of approximately 5,000 acres of former agricultural land (pecan orchards) to future residential development.
• Pulte Homes, Buckeye, Arizona: We conducted a groundwater-mounding analysis to evaluate the impact of discharging class A+ reclaimed water from a newly constructed water-reclamation facility. The study included a three-mile radius well inventory, an evaluation of existing groundwater quality, and numerical groundwater-flow modeling to assess long-term impact on the groundwater system.
